Our core range
We specialise in Ø 8–20 mm. Within this range, we manufacture approximately 15 million piston pins and crank pins combined each year.
Designs up to Ø 60 mm are also possible. Above our core range, we typically manufacture series of up to approximately 20,000 parts per year; we assess larger quantities on request.

We manufacture thin-walled piston pins and designs with tapered internal bores to reduce weight. For suitable thin walls, we coordinate material selection and heat treatment to avoid unwanted through-hardening. We assess suitability based on your drawing.
We assess additional internal features, cross bores or milled features based on your drawing and assign them to the suitable manufacturing process.

Crank pins for your requirements
For crank pins, we match diameter, form and heat treatment to the drawing. Depending on the material and requirements, carbonitriding, case hardening or quenching and tempering may be suitable.

Precision on the ground outer surface
For suitable ground components up to Ø 20 mm, we achieve Rz < 0.6 µm, roundness < 1 µm and a total outside diameter tolerance width of 3 µm together in series production. Above Ø 20 mm and up to Ø 60 mm, a total outside diameter tolerance width of 4 µm is achievable.
Our in-house grinding processes are generally designed for components with a diameter of at least Ø 6 mm and a length of at least 15 mm. For large production runs, we assess smaller diameters with suitable feeding arrangements. We agree the values applicable to your design based on dimensions, material and geometry.

Material in stock for many finished diameters
We hold starting material for numerous piston pin sizes. This helps with sample and series planning. For smaller production runs, intermediate sizes can be turned from suitable stock dimensions.

Specify the quantity, outside and inside diameters, length and required standard design. With a clear specification, an individual drawing is not needed for the initial enquiry.
Please identify the applicable standard: DIN 73126 or ISO 18669, including the edition and, where applicable, the part. We clarify additional requirements before preparing a quotation.
