Visiting the website and hosting
Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Deutschland. As our hosting provider, IONOS processes on our behalf the access data required to deliver and operate the website. This includes, in particular, the IP address technically required to transmit the requested content.
According to IONOS product documentation, the access logs record the following information: the page or file requested; the previously visited page, insofar as your browser transmits it; information about the browser, operating system and device; and the time of access. IONOS states that the IP address is anonymised immediately and subsequently stored only in this form. IONOS specifies a retention period of eight weeks for visitor data and states that the web hosting processing described here does not involve transfers to countries outside the EU.
This processing enables us to provide the website and serves its security and stability. The legal basis for processing personal data relating to website access is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR; DSGVO). Our legitimate interest is in the reliable and secure operation of our website.
Further information is available in the IONOS documentation on data processing for web hosting.
Statistical analysis by IONOS
According to IONOS documentation, hosting includes the WebAnalytics feature. IONOS describes this as statistical analysis of website access for the technical improvement of the website. No cookies are used; transmitted IP addresses are anonymised immediately. The website contains no analytics pixel added by us and no advertising tracking tools.
To the extent that personal data is processed before anonymisation, we rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in making technical improvements to the website that meet users' needs.
Further information is available in the IONOS documentation on WebAnalytics.
Cookies and embedded content
The website does not use cookies and does not store enquiry inputs in persistent browser storage. Images and other website content are provided through our web space. We use system fonts; no external font services, maps, social media plugins or external video players are embedded.
Browser-based enquiry assistance
On the contact page, you can transfer information such as your name, company, email address and telephone number, as well as details about the component and your requirements, into an email draft. These inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to our web server via a form. The website does not offer file uploads.
When you open the draft, the information is passed to your selected email application. We receive your message only when you send the email yourself from that application. You also add and send attachments in your email application. If you use the copy function, the draft is written to your device's clipboard at your request. Processing by your email application and your own email provider is governed by their terms.
Contact by email or telephone
When you contact us, we process your contact details, the content of your message and, where applicable, the documents you provide in order to handle your enquiry. Within our company, access is given to the people who need to handle your enquiry. IT and email service providers are also used to provide the technical infrastructure for our communications.
If your enquiry concerns a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries and for communications with a company's contact persons, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in handling enquiries and conducting business communications.
We retain contact and enquiry information for as long as it is needed to handle your request. We then delete it, unless statutory retention obligations apply or retention is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Commercial and business correspondence subject to retention obligations is generally retained for six years from the end of the calendar year in which it was received or sent. Statutorily required retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with § 257 HGB or § 147 AO, as applicable; retention necessary for legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
You decide what information to provide to us. Without the information needed to handle your request, we may be unable to answer your enquiry or prepare a quotation you have requested.
Microsoft 365 / Exchange email service
We use Microsoft 365 / Exchange for our email communications. Microsoft and the subprocessors used for this service process the message, contact and technical data required to provide the service.
This service may involve processing outside the EU or the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. For its business online services, Microsoft describes EU Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR as the basis for such transfers. The provisions and safeguards are publicly available in the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum (DPA). Microsoft publishes further information in its documentation on GDPR and international data transfers.
Unsolicited job applications
If you contact us by telephone to discuss how to apply or send an unsolicited application by email, we process the contact and application data you provide. This may include your preferred area of work, your experience and qualifications, your CV and other supporting documents you submit. We use this information to assess your application and decide whether to enter into an employment relationship. The legal basis is § 26 Abs. 1 BDSG (Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act). Providing this information is voluntary; however, without the information required for the assessment, we cannot consider your application.
Access is given to the people responsible for assessing applications and making hiring decisions, as well as the service providers used to provide our IT and email systems. The website does not provide an application portal or accept application files. The information on Microsoft 365 / Exchange above also applies to the email service.
We delete application data six months after your application is rejected or your application process otherwise concludes. During this period, any necessary retention after the process has concluded serves to defend against possible legal claims; the legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where legal claims are ongoing, the data required for them is retained until the matter has concluded and the necessary subsequent handling has been completed. If you are hired, the data required for the employment relationship is processed further to carry out that relationship; § 26 Abs. 1 BDSG applies to this processing.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right of access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), to rectification (Article 16 GDPR), to erasure (Article 17 GDPR) and to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR). A right to data portability exists under Article 20 GDPR, in particular for data you have provided that we process by automated means on the basis of consent or a contract.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You can exercise your rights using the contact details above.
Objection to processing
If we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21(1) GDPR). We will then stop the processing concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for legal claims.
Complaint to a data protection supervisory authority
If you suspect an infringement of data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is, in particular, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, LDI NRW), Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf. Information and access to the complaints procedure are available at www.ldi.nrw.de/beschwerde; further contact details are available at www.ldi.nrw.de/kontakt.
Automated decisions
The website does not make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
