Precision for your component

A coordinated manufacturing process chain

We plan material selection, machining, heat treatment and final inspection together. This simplifies coordination and helps avoid unnecessary operations.

From starting material to finished part

Your component undergoes the operations its requirements call for. Heat treatment and additional finishing are included where the material and function require them. For suitable wire-turned parts, the precision starting diameter can be retained and grinding omitted.

  1. Select and source the material

We assess grade, dimensions and starting accuracy. Suitable material can reduce subsequent machining.

  2. Turning

Wire or bar stock: geometry and quantity determine the suitable manufacturing process.

  3. Heat treatment

Where required, we select quenching and tempering, carbonitriding or case hardening to suit the material and function.

  4. Check dimensions after hardening

After hardening, our custom visicontrol system inspects 100% of components for diameter, length and edge rounding.

  5. Finishing and in-process inspection

Where required, grinding, lap grinding or hard turning produce the agreed final characteristics. During production, we check the relevant dimensions by sampling at short intervals.

  6. Pack and deliver

Every piston pin and crank pin is individually inspected and packed at the end of the process, regardless of diameter. We pack securely in boxes lined with VCI paper. We agree blanket orders and stock held for call-off to suit your needs.

Account for hardening distortion from the start

Hardening can change dimensions and form. We therefore select suitable allowances for subsequent machining. Heat treatment, inspection and grinding are coordinated.

For thin-walled components in particular, experience and the right combination of material, geometry and treatment are essential.

In-house production and specialist partners

Our in-house heat treatment facility generally processes components with a diameter of at least Ø 6 mm and a length of at least 15 mm. For smaller parts, we use suitable heat treatment partners.

Specialist partners carry out treatments such as DLC coating and black oxide finishing. Deburring, cleaning, marking, corrosion protection and packaging are part of our service.

Individual operations are also available

We also offer grinding and hard turning as individual services on request. Requirements can be coordinated particularly well when we manage the complete agreed manufacturing process chain.
